Review of Tommy's poem, Mia Forbes

After I read this poem, the first thing that came to mind was “This poem is very Tommy.” The feeling that I got from this poem was like you were outside just observing your surroundings and was taking note of what was going on, like in the first line. I like simile that is used. Another thing that I liked was the concrete details that were used to set a scene and the imagery in this poem. I like the fact that I got the feeling that you were outside surrounded by people, but yet you are “isolated”. That is very relatable because we can be in a room full of people, or even surrounded by a group of friends and still feel as though we are alone. The only thing that I would add to this poem is a little more imagery to show the isolation.
