Dennis,

This poem is about someone’s past, it is very descriptive on a shooting and a near death experience. The detail in this poem is amazing! Everything is so vibrant; it makes you feel like you were there through the whole event. The diction in the poem definitely lets the reader see inside the author’s mind. You can see their panic and their emotions. Your use of imagery is amazing; I can picture everything that is happening! I really love that about this poem and I like the structure a lot too. It is very organized and every though there is only one stanza, it all seems to fit perfectly. I would add more about your daughter though; everything else is so vivid and so detailed except that. However, she seems to be your turning point.
