Alana Roach’s Critique on Caitlin Cordial’s Utopia

This is a poem about how dreaming is an exciting escape for the author’s mundane life.

I love this poem because it is very personal to her. I can tell that she really dug deep and produced a piece that was probably not the easiest to write.

Lines 7 and 8 are powerful with the use of ultimate twice.

The last line is moving because it leads me to think that the author is not excited by real life but only by the transcendent world that her dreams produce.

I think that I would have liked some more detail on Caitlin’s “evil intentions” in like 8. I would have loved to read more of what “Sunshine and happiness” that she saw. More concrete details.
