This is a poem about a girl meeting a man who she met on Facebook (possibly a friend’s friend) in person for the first time.
I absolutely love the lines 12,13,14,15. “In the chaos of chain smokers, and free food, and five hour energy chuggers, We were introduced”. I think it gives me a vivid illustration of a busy mall setting and time sort of stopping when she finally meets this individual.
I am impressed with her word choice of “Tachycardia” which means fast heart beat in a compact definition.
I would have liked more details. Perhaps something more telling of this man she met, and who she really is in detail when she is at home as opposed to being in person.
